Beat the heat of the sun by packing these summer driving must-haves.
Our Brisbane Truck School compiled the Top 5 Things to bring for a hot weather driving:
-
Shady Sun Hat
School of Transport suggests using a brimmed hat as it provides better protection against the UV rays of the sun. As much as you can, try to avoid the heat of the sunlight from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
-
Sunscreen
Make sure to bring a sunblock with you when the delivery is during day time. Driving on a hot weather may cause too much exposure from the sun. This sunscreen will protect your skin from the bad effects of sunrays. Our Brisbane Truck School suggests putting sunblock before heading out on the road.
-
Wear Light Clothes
During a hot weather, our Brisbane Truck School advises wearing light and comfortable clothes that are made of cotton. Loose clothes are also recommended for proper air movement, particularly underneath your clothes.
-
Polarise Sunglass
The glare from the sun usually increases during a hot weather. Thus, it can cause a real problem, especially when you are doing a long drive. To cut down the possible problems caused by this, School of Transport advises using a polarise sunglass that has a built-in and laminated filter, which allows vertical light rays to pass through to block the horizontal ray and lessens the glare of the sun.
-
Bottled Water
According from a study of Loughborough University, not drinking enough water is similar to being drunk. This shows that staying hydrated is very important in any weather condition. Drivers tend to get dry mouth, headache and fatigue when there is no sufficient water in their bodies.
Our Brisbane Truck School recommends carrying a couple of bottled water with you for easy access whenever you need it. Make it a habit to drink up to 8 glasses of water a day to keep you hydrated.
